The Michigan Restaurant Association (MRA), in partnership with Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD), is providing free training on how to propose a processing variance to local public health departments.
Sessions are free and include lunch for attendees. The training intends to cover the information an operator will need to request a variance, as well as possible ways to avoid needing one by changing small details in the process.
Ultimately, the aim is to have any operator who needs a variance to be equipped with the accurate and detailed information they need to correctly propose a processing variance from their local public health department.
Innovation within the foodservice industry has occurred nearly as fast as its growth, and it is with that growth and change that the MRA realizes the importance of access to these critical trainings.
